I was born in Bangalore city, in Karnataka state, in southern part of India, in Asia. Kannada is my mother tongue, a native language of the Karnataka state. "Namma Nudi" means "Our Language" in Kannada.
I believe that we can connect with people by learning their language. By learning a native language we get an insight into the culture of the place. And sometimes, when we are away from our native place, speaking the native language can keep us connected to our roots.

I started "Namma Nudi" in Vancouver, Canada during 2019. It is a forum to learn, teach, share and enjoy Kannada language and the culture associated with it.
We are a group of interested people who plan to meet regularly to learn the Kannada language, share the food from the region, celebrate the festivals together, play games and have fun together!
